Extracurricular Activities
Among the planned, extra-curricular activities are weekend trips, including guided tours of museums and other highlights of these cities' cultural treasurers. Exploring Munich and Bavaria's rich heritage and beauty is accomplished through visits of world class museums, stellar theater performances, visits of world renowned heritage sites, such as castle Neuschwanstein.
We will pay homage to victims of Nazi Germany. A visit to the concentration camp Dachau and an introduction to the student resistance movement known as "Die Weisse Rose", which originated at LMU in the 1940's, will honor those, who fell victim to that murderous regime.
While there are many worthwhile activities to keep students occupied in Munich, some students will want to travel to other destinations in Europe. Students will have an opportunity to travel on free weekends with others from the program. In the past, students have visited places like London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Brussels, Prague, to mention just a few. Students can also stay in Germany and experience other great cities!
This is a balanced, extra-curricular program indeed! Rarely will you be able to combine an academic schedule with such a rich supplement of activities!
